Week 1: Heart for the House
Our Story
Since our founding on February 1, 1987, God has
continuously called us to be a church that
pursues His authentic presence. Over several
decades, without a building to call our own, we've
met in churches, schools, tents and theaters, seeking
the Lord's presence, and He continues to
be faithful. In 1995, we officially changed our name to
Harvest Church to reflect our belief that
God is positioning us to be used by Him to bring in a
great "harvest of souls." Shortly thereafter,
in 1998, the Lord miraculously gave us the property,
formerly known as The Capri Theater, at Park N Shop in
downtown Concord. Although we eagerly anticipate
the completion of our new building at Park N Shop, we
know that our church community is not, and will never
be, a building.
Throughout our history, everything that has been accomplished has been through the faithfulness of God. We are completely dependent on His provision regardless of challenges or circumstances. God has always faithfully provided everything that we need.
Today, Harvest Church is being used by God to not only influence our Valley, but also the nations of the world. We are excited for what God has in store for us, and we invite you to join us as we continue to pursue our calling by connecting to God, connecting to one another and connecting to the harvest.
